So how does Medigap Work?
When you have medical costs that are covered by Medicare Part A and Part B, Medicare will pay the Medicare-Approved amount (typically, less than the actual amount of your doctor’s bill and you are responsible for the balance). Your Medigap policy will then pay its share.
When Can I Buy Medigap Insurance?
The best time to buy a policy is during Medicare Open Enrollment. You first become eligible for Medicare at age 65.

The cost of your plan will depend greatly on which plan you choose. There are many plans including Plan F, G, N, Medicare Advantage as well as understanding and getting Part D for prescription drugs if you need them.
